The Romanian Cup's title sponsor is now Betano.

The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and Betano, a Kaizen Gaming brand, have partnered strategically to create the Romanian Cup Betano, as it will now be called.

This agreement, which is good for the next three seasons, is Betano's most recent attempt to sponsor football on a national and European level. Betano was chosen the primary partner of Club Universidad de Chile in South America prior to being the official partner of Bulgarian premier football team Lokomotiv Sofia in February.

Chief Commercial Officer of Kaizen Gaming, Julio Iglesias Hernando, offered his thoughts on Betano's sponsorship of the Romanian Cup, or Cupa Romaniei in the local tongue.

"Our collaboration with this illustrious football association represents a significant turning point for Kaizen Gaming and our brand Betano," he said.

Since the beginning of our activities in Romania, which was this month six years ago, we have been a sponsor of Romanian sports.

"Cupa Romaniei Betano strengthens our dedication to the nation's athletic community, with a focus on football—a sport that unites us all.”

The Romanian Cup is being sponsored by Betano at the same time that a "more dynamic and inclusive tournament format" that accommodates more matches is being introduced.

Razvan Burleanu, the FRF President, said, "The oldest football competition in Romania receives the support of Betano the same year it is being reinvented."

"Through the introduction of a more contemporary and captivating format, we anticipate raising the standard of play and fortifying the bonds between the clubs and their fan base."
